What’s a better time for blueberry pie than summertime? Not only does it hit the spot and look like the perfect picnic food, but blueberries are in season in July. When I think of blueberry pie I think of the cartoons I used to watch growing up like Tom and Jerry or Looney Toons. Where the characters would try to steal the blueberry pie at the kitchen window. The video is great for many reasons, but first I like how she is more about having you try it out before being so hard on yourself. I personally love cooking and will try cooking anything I have the tools to make, but baking scares me a bit more (the reason I had someone else explain a blueberry pie recipe for you). One of my favorite mottos is “finished not perfect” if you never try you will never get better. Life is about trial and error and learning from the finished product. You don’t learn if you don’t try.
Secondly, she explains how to make the pie in a great way. She is relaxed having fun (we should all be having fun while making a pie) and teaching you everything, not just the major steps. I always hate trying a new recipe and when I get to a spot where I have a question and I read the instructions and there is no mention of the problem I am having. That’s when you make mistakes when you guess what to do next.
Lastly, for something as hard as baking I thought you would all enjoy a video rather than pages of boring text. You are all welcome, just kidding (sort of).
